The woman, who was clutching a cheque for €10,000 in the National Lottery Winner’s Room for the second time in a week, could still hardly believe the good news.

SuperValu, Fortunestown

She said: “It’s unbelievable! I’m still lost for words.

“The first win was just crazy and there was great excitement in the family but to do it again a week later really has hit me for six.

“I don’t think the cheque has cleared in my bank account yet from last week’s win and here I am with another one. It’s amazing.”

The lucky winner won both Full House prizes on Thursday, February 27 and Thursday, March 5 and claimed the second of those cheques today.

She bought her Telly Bingo tickets, for both draws, at SuperValu in Fortunestown, Tallaght.

Telly Bingo players who match every number on their bingo tickets win the fixed prize of €10,000.

A BALLYBUNION woman who has been involved in so much voluntary work locally was shown exactly how loved she is by her community this week when they rallied around her as she contested the National Lottery TV programme Telly Bingo on St Valentine's Day.

Fate chose Maggie Hayes as the only player on Telly Bingo on Thursday, after she bought her winning ticket at Cahill's Supervalu in Ballybunion last week. Maggie won €1,000 on the show but she said goodwill of everyone in Ballybunion was of far more value to her.

'My phone was hopping non-stop all week since word went out I was going to be on Telly Bingo!' Maggie told The Kerryman. 'The response from Ballybunion has just been amazing!'

Maggie is a volunteer in the Ballybunion Senior Citizens' group, helping so many elderly people over the last quarter of a century in the town. She is also involved in the Ballybunion Choir and Set Dancers' group.

Her community showed how much she meant to them when they joined her in Cahill's Supermarket on Thursday as she played the show live by phone from the supermarket.
